CRMI Spring Fundraiser:
Be a Siege Engineer
Teams are sought for the Charles River Museum of Industry Spring fundraising event, a Catapult building competition.
We are looking for companies to sponsor teams (8 people) to represent them in a one day challenge to build and fire medieval trebuchets.
The machines will be large, over 10 feet tall, and capable of throwing a projectile several hundred feet. All materials and tools will be provided. The event will be held in the Waltham, MA area, sometime in June (postponed due to the March flooding of the museum). The donation per team entered is $5,000. There will be a limit of 8 teams.
The build will be hosted by Jeff Del Papa, siege engine builder and founder of The NERDS, the first US team to compete on Junkyard Wars.
